Conditions we are able to provide for;
To be within the stated Registration Categories i.e.;
Diagnosis of a working aged dementia including Vascular type on non-specific with adults up until 70 years of age or Korsakoff; Wernicke syndrome; alcoholic encephalopathy; Korsakoff encephalopathy whether with or without other dementia’s or suspected Korsakoff syndrome or a history of excessive alcohol intake and dementia apart from.
Conditions we are not able to provide for;
- Acute phase of psychosis and/or risk of current or recent self-harm
- Violent tendencies or sexual deviation likely to adversely affect other clients
- Sole diagnosis of chronic dependence on alcohol/drugs without mental health overlay
- A current user of alcohol and/or other drugs
The home is registered to provide accommodation and care for a maximum of twenty two people who are in the registration category of past alcohol dependence and are over 18 years of age and under 65 years of age. However, residents who reach the age of 65 may continue to live at this care home should they prefer and as long as we continue to meet their needs. We will also consider clients over the age of 65 so long as their needs can be met. We can not provide a service for people who continue to abuse alcohol.
